Rainbow Moonstone is generally a creamy translucent white stone which features occasional iridescent or multicolored (especially blue) flashes with transparency that ranges from opaque to semitranslucent.

Lapis lazuli is one of the oldest opaque gemstones in history. This rich blue stone includes tiny golden flecks of pyrite. This stone's two-part name comes from two different cultures: lapis is a Latin word meaning "stone," while lazuli comes from the Persian word lazhuward, meaning "blue."

Coral has been called the "garden of the sea" because it was once believed to be a plant. Instead, coral belongs to a small, but important group of organic gemstones. Most coral is harvested from the western Mediterranean Sea, especially in Sardinia. Notable deposits are found in the Red Sea, Bay of Biscay, Malaysian Archipelago, Midway Islands, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and the Hawaiian Islands.
